SCHOOLING/PUZZLING/THRIFT STORES
Kadin had school this week, so he had classes all day Wednesday. While he was doing that I began a 2000 piece National Parks puzzle (thank you Susan Bogus and her Life Group). Dakota and Kasey enjoyed playing games together. And, it was a good morning for Wes to relax from all the activity on Tuesday. Later he and I went to some thrift stores and got some good finds and games.
BLOCKBUSTER
Did you know that Bend has the last Blockbuster in the world? Thursday, after watching “The Last Blockbuster Documentary” on Netflix, we went over to experience it in person. Kasey has never been to one and the boys rarely remember it. We picked up some souvenirs and got some fun pictures.
TUMALO FALLS
We drove up to Tumalo Falls, not realizing that this time of the year it is very, very cold up there. Temperature had dropped 20 degrees and there were feet of snow everywhere, so we decided not to go hiking there. Especially since Dakota was in shorts. We did get out for a short bit with Polaris to stretch our legs and enjoy the views. It is a very beautiful place.
SAM JOHNSON PARK
Near where we were staying there was an incredible park – Sam Johnson Park. It has so many things from playgrounds, miles of walking paths, dog park, disc golf course, skate park, baseball fields, open fields, picnic areas, and 8 tennis courts and 8 pickle ball courts. Kadin, Kasey and I spent the evening playing Tennis, while Wes and Dakota played some Disc Golf. It was interesting weather, in that, it went from sunny and warm, to rain, snow and sleet, then back to sun.
