49 Years

Today Wes celebrated 49 years of life and two days ago we celebrated 10 years of his transplanted Kidney.

Wes has lived a life of dedication, learning, and leaving a legacy. He wants to see the best in people. He wants to help people learn who they are and grow in their potential of who they are created to be.

For over the past 20 years wes has been doing just that corporately and today is no different. We began the first part of a 4 part series workshop tonight working with couples. Wes did a great job!

I love watching Wes light up as people learn an “AHA” moment in their life. These moments sometimes change their course of thinking or direction of life and by the grace of God, Wes is so good at digging in and walking along side to help them.

I, of course, am one of those people that he has led. He has pulled me up, held my hand, and sometimes (many times) pushed from behind. Sometimes it’s not easy but I am a better person because of his desire to see me be who God created me to be.

He has done the same with our kids. Someday they will look back and see, yes dad wasn’t perfect, (sorry Wes) but he always had their best interest at heart.

I am so thankful for you Wes!

  4. I can attest to what Karen said about Wes. I have felt that encouragement, that support, the guidance that assures you, your doing fine and you will get through it. I wish I could return all the support, encouragement and help, but Wes is doing just fine. However, I can return it by doing the same for others, the encouragement, support and guidance that Wes has given me. The good works will spread, even multiply and it will go on. When we all eventually meet again on the other side, I hope to have stories to tell , of the people I’ve helped and encouraged myself. Thank you Wes, my life is better for having crossed paths with you.

  11. Happy Birthday Wes, even though I have never formally met you I have learned so many good things about you and your family from your Mom and Dad, Aunt Ruth and Charlie Strange. My husband and I had met your Mom thru Rotary in Richfield Springs and your Dad shortly after and since then they have become very dear to us. 2 years ago we spent two weeks with them in San Diego and at that time had the pleasure of meeting Kasey and attending her school play, what a sweet young lady. I have followed the Coddington tribe and and admire you and your family for the courage and strength you have.
I am sending you best wishes and love from afar in hope’s that you have many more good days and memories to make.

  13. 49 full years of service to God, Family, Friends and those who you will still bring to the Lord Jesus. 49 years well spent. You’ve done more in 49 years than most have done in twice that time. It has been my joy and pleasure to know, love and respect you and your family. I suspect you’ll continue your works in Heaven. God blessing upon you. DianeHanson

  31. Happy belated birthday Wes. I am glad it found you doing what you love best: pouring into others. Such labor will not return void and you will one day say the fruit of your faithfulness. Love and praying for you brother, and you family as well.

  32. Happy Birthday Wes. I think back to my time in youth group and in hindsight your involvement with Larry was very evident. You were always a leader/teacher at heart. There was just a genuine promotion of Jesus and the Gospel, and love for youth that didn’t feel like a church program. Glad I was in “that” youth group at “that” time. I am saved because of it, I can proudly claim the promise of eternal life with much credit to you Wes. Thank you, thank you ,thank you. Love and miss you Wes.

  33. Happy belated Birthday Wes. Inspired to hear if your tenacity to keep loving, leading and pointing others to the hope found only in Christ. Prayers for strength with all that God calls you to keep doing.
