As Wes mentioned in the last update, he has been managing his pain with more and more pain medicine. The downside of this type of pain management is that his bowels are getting backed up. For the past 5 days he has not had a significant bowel movement and prior to yesterday, he was vomiting everything that he had eaten for the day. Yesterday we began a liquid diet and taking laxatives and although he is not vomiting, he still feels nauseous and continues to feel uncomfortable and is still waiting for his system to be cleaned out.
Wes is very discouraged! Please pray that he will be able to get relief and that the laxatives start working and he can get back to being more active. It is not only taking a toll on his body but on his heart and mind also.
Monday morning Wes is scheduled to have his next CT Scan. We appreciate all the prayers and love during this time. Thanks Mike (neighbor) for finishing shoveling our driveway. It was a welcomed surprise.

I am praying for you this morning. As one who also has a bad “gut” I am sympathizing with your trial. May the Lord give you his healing touch over your whole body. Remember the Greek word for compassion is splanknizomai. Literally, to feel with your intestines! Jesus felt compassion as he saw the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of people and met their needs in a practical way of giving rest, feeding, healing, and teaching.

I know it must also be so hard for you Karen to see Wes in such pain so I ask God to cover you with an overwhelming sense of His love and a peace the only comes from Him.
