Shut Door

Well Delta and our vacation company worked perfectly with us to set up Aruba for this coming week. However, we did not pass our COVID test, or specifically, I did not pass. I have tested positive for COVID and Aruba is now completely off the table. The door is shut.

I cannot express how disappointed I and the family are., but what can we do? We are trying to trust that God has a better plan but it’s hard to see something better. This was the time we had as a family. We don’t have any other time for all of us to be together that we can see. The kids have school and work this next semester.

Just trying to live this out:

“I have learned to kiss the waves that throw me against the Rock of Ages.” Charles Spurgeon

PS – Thank you Dr. Paul and Cindy Caracappa and Anna and Maria in their office for all your help trying to make this work.

It was hard to read that your wonderful family vacation will not be. Before this news I have been praying about the planned adventure and asking God to give you and yours something unexpectedly joyful; something that will fill all of you with a reminder of how great our God is. His purposes and ways are always good. I continue to lift you up

Yet I look upon your faces in this photo and see the Joy that no one can take away. You have a family and so many friends who love and pray for you! Keep up the good fight as we behind the scenes, pray for a miracle. <3 Regardless of time, we know we shall see each other once again and that indeed heals the heart.
