We have been self-quarantining for almost three weeks so that our trip to Aruba would not be jeopardized. We all got tested for COVID on Wednesday night as it’s required to enter Aruba.
Kadin, Kasey and Karen all tested negative but Dakota tested positive and I (wes©️) haven’t received my results even though we all went at the same time.
We think Dakota is a false positive because no one else has it and we can’t understand where he would have gotten it. However, he got a positive and that means currently, Aruba is out for all of us.
Dakota and I went and got tested again today at a rapid testing facility here in PA (thanks Dr Paul and Cindy Caracappa for the help!). Right now we are praying that both my and Dakota’s results come back fast and they are negative so that we can leave for Aruba at 7am tomorrow.
Needless to say, we are facing heartbreak and trying to trust the Lord to work it out. Thank you for your prayers.
I’m praying your trip will be a go. I know how important the memories of this trip will mean to the family. Dakota and Wes have special prayers for no Covid and for health in general. This has been a bad year for everyone. But the Coddington Tribe has taken the cake. Hope the next news is sweet. May God’s arms gather the five of you for all the blessings you deserve. Love you all. Can I just say, I woke up in the middle of the night after posting this and realized I wrote the wrong word! I’m always wanting to bring in the positive, but in this case I meant negative. We want a negative Covid test result. And now, I hope I can sleep better tonight since I cleared that up! ☺️
