Because we have been living in Southern California, our family has not had the opportunity to enjoy watching the colors change, leaves fall, breathing in that crisp air, and feeling that chill that comes with it, in over 8 years (besides Dakota who has been in Oregon for 2 years). It is my favorite season and I am so thankful for the ability to see it all around me.
This past weekend Kadin got to enjoy the first snowfall in Moscow, ID. They made a snowman and were able to go “drifting” (as he calls it) in the snow. He is having a blast at school and is doing well. Dakota and Kasey are doing well also, keeping busy with their work and making new friends.
Wes’ treatment was definitely better than the last one. Days 4 and 5 are still his biggest struggle but that is expected. Wes is currently in Atlanta for work. A couple of days before he left, his tongue was sore, he looked in the mirror and noticed his tongue was discolored. That’s right… he has Thrush! We called the doctor and they were able to get a prescription in right away. The doctor said if you can handle it and keep the medicine in your mouth for 5-10 minutes that would be great. It works on contact so the longer it sits on the tongue the better. You know Wes and his competitive nature (and the desire to not have thrush), he left it in for 35 min. Challenge accepted! He has to do this 4 times a day and until his tongue heals, eating is very difficult and painful.
We told you a while ago about the flooding in our home. We are so excited to report that the new lights are in and we can now see throughout the whole family room and dining area. They did a great job! Our bathroom is currently being tiled and looks great.
We had our first Resonate women’s fall event at our house and everything was lit up so nicely. The women had a great time making cloth pumpkins, eating lots of great snacks and drinking fresh cider and hot chocolate. Thanks ladies for all the work you put into this to make it a fun and relaxing event.
Earlier in the day, Wes went shooting with some of the Resonate guys. They had a blast shooting distance rifles, the crossbow and pistols. The highlight was skeet shooting with shotguns. Everyone came back with all digits in tact so Wes says it was successful.
That’s an awesome update, I love keeping up with your family ❤️
A great message! Reading how mobile and loving life Wes is gives tremendous inspiration! Praising God!!
Yes! I’ll gladly take a cold winter for a colorful fall.
Tommy & I look forward to your blogs! We sit and read them and say prayers for another beautiful moment that you all get to share together.
You all are in our daily prayers and thoughts! ♥️ You.
So happy you and the kids are making friends and doing well. I love Fall, what a gift to see the colors
change and have that crisp air. So thankful for Wes’s competitive nature- praying for healing.
We miss you! I hope you had a wonderful birthday Karen and that you were overwhelmed with love
and encouragement. Much love to all of you!
Fall is my favorite time of year. Or was in the colder climes. Still miss that . So happy for the good reports. Praying for you guys and missing you.
Thanks Karen for keeping us all updated with Wes and your family. Nicole & I are flying to Spokane on November 6th as we are thinking about moving there in the Spring of 2021. I will let you know what happens. We would all love to experience the seasons too and that is one of the reasons we are considering this move to Washington.
Love to you all from Patty, Nicole & Justin
