That’s right, Kasey! This past week was Kasey’s birthday. She turned 8! The greatest thing for Kasey about turning 8 is that she no longer needs to be in a car seat! Kasey awoke to a great surprise of a My Little Pony piñata hanging over her head with new streamers added to her bedroom birthday decor from last year. When she rolled over there was a journal for her to read (from Wes) and then a long pink streamer that was extended through the house with different stations of activities for her to do. The final destination was “That chair over there” the official Coddington Tribe name for the recliner in the corner of the room. On it was her “Supreme Ruler of the Day” hat and her royal scepter, which she got from the tree in the picture below, along with a gift of princess movies. The boys waited on her and gave her breakfast… waffles with syrup, whipped cream, and heart sprinkles. Mmmm.
Kasey has been a blessing to our family. She has a beautiful smile and loves to make us laugh. With her singing, dancing, playing, acting, she never leaves a dull moment. We love her like crazy! Below is a picture taken this week while walking home from school.
Happy Belated Birthday, Kasey!
You set a good example as a family that loves, celebrates, and enjoys each other. You are blessed and lucky.
Happy Birthday, Kasey….nothing like being 8. Enjoy it!!
