It has been a beautiful January. A friend borrowed our truck and lent us his Jeep and gave us permission to do some “off roading”. So we called our neighbors who also have a Jeep and took our families on a trip through the mountains in Ramona. While we were riding along the mountainside, we found a group of people whose car had gone over the edge. With Wes’ quick thinking to add a tow rope before we left for the “just in case” situation, Joel and Wes were able to attach it to Joel’s jeep and pull the car back onto the road.
The mountains were beautiful. We stopped at different locations along the road to take some pictures and just play around. We stopped at a dam, another area where we could climb down the hill and climb on the large rocks, another where we could climb a tree and take pictures which turned out to be so much more. Lets just say the boys had fun with hatchets, a metal pipe, and a complete lawn mower pull cord and retractor and fun competition. We girls were entertained, to say the least. 🙂
Nice! Great experience and looks like a lot if fun.
I especially liked that Wes shared this experience at the end of his sermon at New Song: Seaside on that following Sunday (Jan 5 ?) and he shared with the congregation his thought process when he described that he felt a very strong unctioning to take the tow rope with him… Wes even paused before leaving the house and asked “GOD, Is that you?”. Wes sensed it was GOD’s Holy Spirit urging and guiding him to take the tow rope with them and he did. So by Wes’ own admission it was not [ With Wes’ quick thinking to add a tow rope before we left for the “just in case” situation ] but really it was his obedience and response to the urgings and request of the Holy Spirit.
Wow! No WONDER there are so many thumbs up in this picture!!!!
