Church Launch

You will notice our kids in there.  They have been sacrificing and helping all along the way.  Dakota and Kadin run tech for the children’s ministry, including all setup and tear down.  Kadin and Kasey make balloons for kids (and adults).  Karen does a little of everything.  She helps with all areas of children, she helps setup and tear down hospitality and she is a greeter.  She also helps with all the back office stuff like sending first and second time guests emails and letters.  She has been amazing.

Even more amazing than Karen has been what God is doing.  People are coming to the service and saying things like, “I have felt God telling me to go to church and then I got your postcard…” Or they got a personal invite or they saw our commercial in the theater running before a movie.  God is calling people of all kinds to Seaside and we get the chance to share His love.

There is a large homeless population here in SoCal and we have had the chance to feed and pray with a number who have come to the services. This past week, a homeless man named Dave came, but could not come into the service because he had his dog with him.  He asked if we had any housing as he and his son were homeless.  We did not have housing, but we gave him information on some of the homeless shelters in the area.  Two of our team members then prayed with him.  After the service, he came back to the entrance of the cinema to tell us that right after we prayed for him, he got a call from a friend who had found housing for them.  Pretty cool, eh?
