Waiting In CA – Homeless Woman

Wes and Karen spent time looking at houses. Anything they persued they found either just had been rented or was too expensive. While walking back to Dave’s house, the following conversation took place:

wes©: You look really, really great. Especially for a homeless woman.

Karen: Thanks?

  1. I think God has a good laugh when he sees us fumbling around. I think He is pleased when we step out and follow his way, no matter how we falter at times. He just loves us for letting Him do His work through us. Remember, David was a man after God’s heart because he consulted with Him constantly, asking for guidance at every turn. He has something for you that you can’t even expect.
    Love you guys,
    Aunt Ruthanne

  2. I am confident that God will lead you to the right house, at the right price, at the right time. I will be praying for you!

  3. Hang in there guys…….Where God guides; He provides….In His perfect time it will all come together and we can’t wait to yell out “Praise the Lord” when it does. In the meantime we can mail you our leftover cardboard boxes for a quick shelter/lean to…..ha

    1. Cardboard boxes, eh? Forget that. If I’m homeless for long, I’m headed to Beverly Hills. There’s got to be lots of good furniture and stuff being thrown out there!

  4. An amigo of mine many many moons ago asked me: “deLorean, didest you knoweth that Yahweh haseth a sense of humor?” Me: “Why no, I didn’t. How doeth you knoweth?” The “friend” offered: “Just take a gander into the looking glass.” Me: “Oucheth, I replied.”

Remember, none of us can live the Christian life without a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Afterall, as we know, Jesus the Son always did what His heavenly Father wanted. Jesus consulted with Him with an open line of communication, as David did with God, as Aunt Ruthanne mentioned above. I know I’m “teaching to the choir here.” I’m glad yous guys made it safely to CA. I’m a bit envious that you, Wes, have a blood-brother. Mine are “just” a band of brothers brought together by the blood of Christ. I know that’s pretty special too, huh?!

    Peace and shalom

  5. LOL…that truly made me laugh out loud….the title made me think you were going to tell us you met a homeless woman and how you were able to help her/share your story w/ her/something like that…..not at all what i expected. Glad you still have your sense of humor!

Enjoyed texting Dakota today….he shared some more pictures w/ me….looking forward to other stories and pictures. Just realized today…in just 2 weeks…I believe this will be the 1st b-day that I won’t get to have cake and ice cream w/ Dakota for his b-day!! Missing you more and more every day :{ Can’t wait to come visit….I’m saving my pennies and will come out as soon as you have my room ready for me!! Love you lots!!

  6. Just remember Abraham. How many years did he wander not knowing God’s plan. He obeyed God and God blessed him. He was the father of many nations, yet he lived in a tent. God will show you His plan, in His time. Praise be the LORD!

  7. Hello to my homeless peep’s…lol. I feel your pain, truly I do .
