On The Road – Denver Drama

Here is the situation. The van is going to cost several thousand dollars to fix. After making numerous calls for advice the common answer is that it is not worth it. So, we are going to say good-bye to it and scrap it in Denver.

“The Lord gives and the Lord takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord.”

Wes’ parents are actively looking to rent a car to continue the trip to Carlsbad. They are also reworking the travel plans.

At this point, the Grand Canyon is out. Please pray for the kid’s hearts. They really wanted to go to the Grand Canyon and that was to be the highlight of the trip.

Wes and I will be arriving in Flagstaff, Arizona in 15 minutes. We probably won’t know when or where we are going to see our kids until tomorrow morning.

Wes says, “The unexpected events are not the greatest, but they are more fun then dialysis!”

  1. Love and appreciate Wes’ perspective

  2. Sounds like the movie “Vacation”. Maybe you should all meet up at Wally World”. LOL!

  3. Wes has such a healthy attitude. That is what I appreciate the most about him.

  4. Wes says, “The unexpected events are not the greatest, but they are more fun then dialysis!” That’s a keeper of a quote. I’ve learned that the unexpected things in life are often the most interesting, albeit sometimes the most challenging. God’s speed to you all.

  5. Hey Coddingtons.., sitting in LAX as I write this. I’ll tell you more later about my own travel headaches.., late flights, cancelled flights, missed flights.., etc. All in God’s hands. I take off in about 2 hours and arrive home early on Friday morning. I’ll call you when my cell phone is charged up and we’ll catch up. Love and miss you all. Paul
