This is funny:
A tow truck came to pick up my parents and the kids. My parents, the four kids and the tow truck driver piled into the tow truck. The van was driving fine once it cooled down, at least enough to drive it to the closest mechanic, a Ford dealer. The Ford dealer could not do anything with it. The tow truck driver called a good friend in Denver who has a transmission shop and the shop is right next to a Honda dealer (our van is a Honda). His friend said to bring them and the van back to Denver and he would service the transmission tonight. Great!
The tow truck driver said that he had to get another car and head back to Denver anyway. Great!
He also said that AAA would cover the 1.5 hour drive at no cost. Great.
While getting the second car, my dad and the tow truck driver noticed that the TOW TRUCK was leaking transmission fluid profusely. They had to wait for a replacement tow truck.
Not so great! (yet slightly humorous)
They will have to find lodging in Denver and wait to have the van looked at tomorrow morning. The good news is that it seems that the transmission might just need a little service and it may not be a big deal.
The better news is that my parents just take it all in stride and go with the flow. They are awesome!
The bad news is that this poor tow truck driver has to drive 1.5 hours with 6 Coddington’s in his cab!!
Thanks for the prayers,
wes©
Wes, it’s great that your parents are able to go with the flow. Not everybody has that gift, which I believe it is some sort of gift. Praising the Lord for His provision in this case, and that everybody is able to fit in the cab. I have ridden in tow truck cabs a few times, and I have trouble seeing how they did it, but God is able.
Thinking of everyone.
It truly has been a GREAT adventure….stories that will be told for years to come!! Glad everyone is OK…..Dakota never mentioned any of this in his text today….guess it would have been too long a story! Love you guys!
