Please pray.
Wes’ parents just called. The van just broke down on the I-70 about an hour west of Denver. They are calling AAA and they think it is the transmission. The van had a new transmission put in about 3 or 4 years ago so it doesn’t seem like it should be a transmission problem. We also had it inspected by a good mechanic before they left. The oil has been changed regularly, even just yesterday on the trip they had it changed and they were told all fluids look good.
All that to say, we don’t understand why it would break down, but it has. At this point we can’t ignore all the other great things that have happened providentially so we assume it is part of the plan.
Please be in prayer for my parents as they now have 4 children stranded with them on the side of the road.

Oh dear. Praying right now. Our kids are NEVER going to forget this trip! I’m actually jealous they have such a wonderful opportunity and wonderful grandparents!
Connor, Brady and I just prayed for them! Keep us posted- Allison
While living in East Texas a l-o-n-g time ago, a friend of mine who owned a men’s clothing store was robbed one weekend. Thieves took some very expensive items from his store. I won’t forget his reaction to this adversity. It was “Praise The Lord,” anyway. The fact that I remember the incident is proof to me that it was a significant learning moment in my Christian education. Another moment was when a guy at church, named Phil, asked me “How’s your spiritual life?” I knew he meant something deeper than the fact that I attended church services regularly. Well, I was on the church softball team too and I was a leader in the AWANA program. Still…….I thank God for the van breakdown. While it wasn’t anticipated by anyone, God knew and I’m sure that He will take care of the problem. A reliance upon His way is always the best way. Amen?
