The kids are with Grandma and Grandpa in New York and will be heading west tomorrow. They have had a good time there, playing with their neighbor friend Griffin and their cousin Nathan.
Meanwhile, Karen and I have occupied ourselves with packing and saying goodbye. Packing has been busy but fairly stress free as we have been working on minimizing our living footprint. Lots of things have been sold or given away. One goal we have established to be in place after this move is complete is that we want to be able to pack up everything inside of one week. We want to be available to move anywhere, anytime if we are called to do so. We will see how we do…
Karen has been incredible through this process. She is in her element in many ways. While she is not a change-aholic, and while this is stretching her in many ways, she really is suited for the work. She is organized, is great with logistics and systems, and enjoys getting rid of stuff and the structure of packing. She has been patient and gentle through the experience.
If you are the praying type, we still need an enclosed trailer (7 x 14 or so) and a place to live out there. We are confident God will supply, but we would covet your prayers for the strengthening of our faith as we wait on His provision.
We’re so excited for you, and will be praying!
Dear Wes, Karen and family,
God’s blessings to all of you as you start a new adventure in CA and with your new work position. Once you make the right contacts I know you will do well Wes. I will be praying for that and that you find a place quickly.
Things are changing rapidly everywhere. It is good that you have the vision for your family that you do. It will teach them to transition quickly and be effective in an ever changing world.
Will look forward to hearing from all of you and knowing how to pray.
Millie
Wes and Karen,
John and I wish you the best as you journey west. We think the world of you both, and will be praying for safe travels and God’s hand in all you do. You brighten the world wherever you go!
hugs,
