This is wes©. Still in hospital. Beginning to feel less pain today. Won’t go home till tomorrow at earliest. Catheter still in, no solid food yet.
Not exactly what I had in mind this run. Thanks for your support.

Okay Wes, here is a chuckle for the day to hopefully make you feel a bit better.
Picture me and the kids all dressed in our snow gear, sledding down the hill behind our house. Now, mind you, this is not a steep hill, but it goes a good distance. So, the best way to get in a good run is to run and leap onto your sled of choice. We have several to choose from. Well, I spent most of the time laying tracks so the kids can get in their good runs. Well I decided I had earned a chance to take a good run. Now by this time our neighbor, Miss Sandy, had decided to join us. So, I grab one of the sleds and, being that I’m not one of the youngsters, I place it on the ground and run next to it. As I get up a good head of steam and am about to embarq on my journey down the hill, I step right on the sled, stop all progress…of the sled and proceed to face plant and include a double somersault down the hill. Now, you can imagine the hysterical laughter coming from futher up the hill, my neighbor included. I wasn’t sure if Ashlyne was going to recover. Not a one of them able to stand up straight from laughing so hard. Miss Sandy assures me that had a video camera been rolling, we would be a shoe in for the $10,000.00 prize on AFV.
So aside from a few sore muscles a good time was had in the snow. We went again this afternoon after church and I chose a tube as my mode of transport down the hill today. Easier on the body for the running start. Hope you are feeling better. Praying for you always.
Jenn
Sorry I couldn’t be with you today. I am thankful for everyone who was able to be there in my place. You have been an encouragement both to me and everyone who comes in your room even amidst your hardships. I continually pray for you for comfort, relief, a quick recovery and to continue to remain strong in your faith. I love you like crazy and we all miss you at home. See you soon.
Wes,
We sure are keeping your name in our prayers. I am sure each evening in that hospital bed makes it hard to enjoy the present…….just think how grand it will be once they let you home. Are you beginning to think that you are really liked there at the hospital? Someone there among all of the people trying to “fix” you and comfort your pain is in need of seeing the reflection of Christ – you are that man for the job. smile. you are handling it all great. We are praying for you comfort, comfort and more comfort – and a thrilling dream tonight about the best, most radical snow mobile ride of a lifetime (it could happen)……. Much love (from the sunny south which recently has been nothing but grey days full of rain…..we keep looking at all of the rain and wanting it to be snow). ~kris and sandy
