Wes’ creatinine level has gone down to 7.1 however, his blood pressure is very high. They have given him blood pressure medicine via IV and it has not gone down much. After the IV medicine his blood pressure was 189/99. Wes is wondering if he may be dehydrated. He told the nurse that when he is on dialysis and his blood pressure rises they give him saline. The nurse is calling the doctor but in the meantime, they are keeping a close eye on his blood pressure. It did go down a little but after an hour it is back up at 191/106
Wes hasn’t thrown up since last night but because he is not eating solid foods with his medicine, his stomach reacts and they have given him Zofran twice to stay ahead of the nauseousness and vomiting. He hasn’t eaten much today. It’s another one of those bad days. He is drinking but doesn’t have an appetite. Last night they took him down for a scan to make sure his bowels are not blocked. The results were good and there is no blockage.
The transplant team will be in later to check up on him. This is one area I am really thankful for this hospital. Hardly a day goes by where there aren’t multiple teams or individuals representing the team stopping by to check in on how Wes is doing, asking questions, allowing us to ask our questions, and keeping us informed of what they know. These teams have consisted of transplant, nephrology, hematology, medicine, coagulation, and social workers. I am sure there are others these are the most common. Wes has had some remarkable nurses and support staff. Last night we had a lot of fun with the transporter, who did an excellent job giving Wes the Bentley ride through the halls.
Days like these are tough both physically and mentally. Please continue to lift Wes in prayer. Thanks!
Karen
Always.
Beside you before Him.

Lifting him to the Great Physician…. Help, Dear Lord!
Praying for you.
For whatever it’s worth, I was on Zofran while pregnant with Hope and that stuff works beautifully for nausea but constipates like crazy!
hey you all will be missed this weekend…people this way are praying for you wes and dr. karen
We are praying!
You have been part of unceasing prayer. We don’t know what’s up but that doesn’t matter. Our wonderful God loves you more than any of us can, so what?…you’ll get a stone when you ask for bread?!? Nah. This present discomfort will pass and He will be glorified. Whatever He has in mind for you will be the absolute best.
Love you guys sooooooo much.
Aunt Ruthanne
Please also be praying for Donnie with inoperable brain tumor.
Just wanted to share the words of a song that I love. It’s called “Blessings” by Laura’s Story. Here they are:
We pray for blessings
We pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
All the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love us way too much to give us lesser things
Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise
We pray for wisdom
Your voice to hear
And we cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt Your goodness, we doubt Your love
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough
All the while, You hear each desperate plea
And long that we’d have faith to believe
Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near
And what if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise
When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know the pain reminds this heart
That this is not, this is not our home
It’s not our home
Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
And what if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near
What if my greatest disappointments
Or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can’t satisfy
And what if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are Your mercies in disguise
Hearing of your trials, I thought this song was so appropriate. Don’t know if you know the story by Laura’s Story. If not let me know and I will e-mail them to you. The song is on ITunes if you want to hear it. Just love this song. Hope it’s an encouragement to you. Love you!
Seems your Aunt Sharon heard the same song that I told you about…..I’m glad she was able to write out all the words for you so that you could both read it…. thanks Aunt Sharon!! Continuing to pray for the levels to come down seems I need to start auctioneering again to bring them down further….I’m on it!!
Love you!
We Love You and continue to keep you all in prayer here in N.Y. There are many here from many churches lifting you up.
Wanted to thank God for allowing us to intercede for others. What an awesome privilege we have in doing this. May you feel our prayers and gain strength to persevere through this time.
Romans 15: 13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy & peace in believing, that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Jer. 32: 17 Ah Lord God! Behold, you have made the heaven & the earth by thy great power & stretched out arm, & there is nothing too hard for you!
Again we love you all! Calling out in Jesus’ name on your behalf!
