Call to Prayer…Answered

I just got back from ultrasound. The kidney is functioning beautifully. There is lots of blood flow, no internal bleeding and it is healing well from surgery. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your diligent and attentive prayers.

I am in a lot of pain, though it is easier to bare knowing the kidney is fine. Neither Percocet nor Dilaudid at the same time has relieved it. I have a history of pain medicine binding my bowels so they are confident the pain is coming from my large intestine and coincidentally, it is in the same area as my surgery. They are going to “take care” of the issue.

Thanks for being on this journey with us. It is your presence online, in person, on the phone and before the throne that helps us make it each day. Thank you for your love and support of Karen. That means the world to me.

  2. Wa-HOOOOEY!!!! Continuing to pray. Thank you so much for keeping us “in the loop” so readily!!!

Any update/concerns about when you might be released?

  3. Wes (and family) – you might now realize the impact you are having on all of us…God bless – rest up when you can!

  4. Wes,

I had read this morning that your situation was in need of prayer…so my science and bible classes at Oneonta community
Christian School began to pray..we just read your encouarging e-mail on how well your kidney is doing, unfortunately your pain is still quite difficult to manage. A shout of jubiliation fo God answering prayer, could be heard throughout our school. Most of the students only know of you because I talk alot about your impact on my family and me. Praise God for answered prayer and his spirit of encouragement. We will be continually praying.

I am glad you had the ultrasound and the results are encouraging. Now, let them take care of the bowel issue!

  7. Our God is so good. I am glad that He answered the prayer for everything to be good with the kidney. I will be praying that the Creatinine levels start to go down again. And also that the impacted bowel is finally taken care of and allows you to get some relief of the pain.

  9. PS: Jim had the same problem from all the pain killers he was taking for his kidney stone. They seem to stop more than pain.

  17. Wow!! See the things that happen in a day when we’re off to work, and praying no matter what is going on. I always find myself speechless before His wonderful love. So, I leave you with just that – knowing that He holds you in His hand and will never let you go. Nothing can take you from there.
Hope the pain goes soon and everything feels a lot better.
    Love you guys.

  18. YEAH….glad to hear that the kidney is functioning but sorry to hear that you are all full of crap! We always knew that about you but now you are finally admitting it…LOL
I will be at work tomorrow and then leaving around 5:00 so let me know where I should go to from there…to the hospital to visit with the two of you or with the kids. I’m thinking I can take them overnight and we can try out the new cookie maker kit I told karen about and give mom a chance to rest and then I will bring them back to mom’s to open the pool on Saturday. I know they are missing out on Sandy Cove this weekend so I want to help make this a fun weekend for them as much as possible. We can all come to the hospital on Saturday if I don’t come on Friday! Think about it and Karen I’ll call you tomorrow.

  19. Nothing to say but PRAISE THE LORD!
So glad to hear everything is healing well. Will be praying for pain relief so you can get some good rest.

Karen praying for you. We don’t leave you out. God is so good!!!
