Three Weeks

We are nearing the end of our time without kids.  Wes’ parents had the kids for 3 weeks!  Since the day they left Wes and I have been working on getting Kasey’s belongings out of our room and into hers, adding, moving and removing furniture, and cleaning house.

We had the opportunity to visit Sandy Cove and work with the Youth Staff for a day.  We even were able to travel to NY to visit the kids, friends and celebrate Dakota’s birthday.  The kids are having a blast spending time with Grandma and Grandpa and a couple of their cousins.

Wes is working and has continued dialysis 3 days a week and is tired by the time evening comes.  Last week, they started the button holing process, the beginning steps for home dialysis.  After the second time, his fistula arm started swelling and getting sore. To make sure there was no infection, Wes had an ultra sound.  The ultra sound showed no infection.  It is possible that it is just irritation or a blockage further up the arm that is only affecting the area where the needles were being placed.  There is no alarm right now, they just needed to restart the process of button holing in a different place further up the arm.  So far there haven’t been any more complications.

  1. Sounds like your kids are having fun and your lives are lived in peace, harmony and purpose. God is great! I miss having the opportunity to see my grandkids. Take care and may our LORD bless you some more.

  2. It is so good to hear that you are moving on with lives and doing so many good life giving things.
I know each day brings challenges and can be hard. I continue to pray for you all.
Wes, I am so glad to hear you are back to work. Many will be blessed by you.

  3. Glad you were able to accomplish some things at home and still visit Sandy Cove and go celebrate Dakota big B-day.

Sorry to hear about your arm but glad your keeping up your courage. In the end God will give the victory. Praise & Thank God!
