We had a great time as a family at Sandy Cove. It has been a refreshing week. We are currently in NY and will be coming home later today. Wes spoke to over 150 teens at Sandy Cove and another 50 at the NY Summer Conference at Hofstra. God has given him the energy and material to keep the teens engaged, interacting, and learning more about the leadership of Christ and how that applies to our lives.
Wes’ dialysis in both Delaware and New York went well. As we mentioned in the last post, we were not sure what to expect. It seemed like there was going to be difficulties when entering each facility. However, at both places they were waiting for him and very friendly and professional. The first day (Tuesday) I was not able to go with him but he was in and out with no problems. The second day (Friday) they were disappointed that he was only there for one treatment. The nurses and technicians were a joy to be around, very encouraging and always stopping by to see how we were doing or just hang out and talk. God gave us a great week and brought so many wonderful people in our path.
We will post pictures later this week. We know we have been “lazy” with the blog for a few weeks. Life picked up so fast once Wes was able to be up and about that we have not made it a priority. We will get back to you. Thanks for your encouragement.
Karen
PS – Happy Independence Day!
