I am thankful for the progress my body has made (as well as my spirit). When people ask, “How are you doing?” I respond, “Better.” I can’t say “good” yet, because each day is still a struggle, but I am doing so much better than I was. I have not had a hint of nausea in a few weeks and I no longer have sharp pains. Dialysis is still taking it’s toll on me and after a full day of work and/or activity, my surgery site aches and pains (though not like weeks ago, thank the Lord!).
Definite progress but a ways to go. That about sums it up.
We went to our church service on Sunday AM and it was the first full service at our home church we have been to since before the surgeries. At the end I stood up and addressed the congregation. I thanked them for all they have done to support Karen and I and the kids. They have given us food (wonderful meals), money, cards, encouragement on the web and in person. They have taken our kids and treated them to all sorts of great activities and foods. Many were a “blessing of distraction” while Karen and I were spending so many days at the hospital and at doctor’s offices. Most of all, our church body spent many, many hours praying for us. We are so grateful to be part of such a caring, generous, loving group of people. Thanks again for all your love and concern, LTM.

It’s good to hear better news! We are so thankful too.
