Uncontrolled Sweats… Please Pray

Wes is at dialysis as I write this.  He just called for prayer.  He has been having terrible sweats.  In fact, on the way to dialysis this morning he rode with his head out the window to cool off.  The workers at the dialysis unit don’t know what is causing it and are calling in the doctor.  Please pray for wisdom and clarification of what is causing this discomfort and relief.

  1. Praying for keen eyes and understanding for the doctors and staff. Praying for all of God. Praying for successful dialysis. Praying for answers and action…. Praying for all of God!!!

  2. Boy can I relate to that one first hand. Gives new meaning to the worship song Consume Me from the Inside Out! Our famiy will continue to pray.

  3. I will continue to pray for wisdom and relief. I know from our experiences with Grace, hemodialysis is brutal! It is a very rough way to go through life. Our bodies just are meant to go through that process every other day. My prayer is that the door for Peritoneal Dialysis opens up. It truly has changed Grace’s life (as well as the rest of our family’s life).
Jeremiah 29:11 is what I would cling to during the roughest days. I hope that it can bring some comfort to all of you as well.
    Blessings,

“that heals ALL YOUR diseases” PSALM 103:3

“”gifts of healing” I Cor 12:28
“shall not doubt..(at all) in your heart…but believes what he SAYS ..it WILL be done for you” MARK 11:23
“have the GOD kind of faith” MARK 11:22

    SPEAK the Scriptures..
    Grace & Peace….

  6. Oh, we will be praying!!!!!!!!!! I’m SO glad you guys have this blog to update and also ask for specific prayer requests. It certainly helps all of us know what to pray for.

P.S. If we come down soon, Wes and I can sit in front of the freezer together. I’ve been having horrid hot flashes since having Hope. I even went to the doctor and had blood work done, thinking something awful must be going on. Nope, just hormones for me. 🙂

  7. Praying also……

  8. Thanks so much for all the updates. It helps so much knowing exactly what to pray for. You and your family are in my heart.

    love,
    Mary Ellen (Stevens)

  9. Continuing to pray for you Wes.

  10. HELLO, IM PRAYING for you and your family.

  11. Praying…

“The Lord always keeps his promises…The Lord is close to all who call on him.” (Psalm 145:13, 18).

  12. Praying…

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.” Psalm 139:23

  13. Not long after you stopped the pain meds, you got the sweats… then taking the pain meds stopped it, right?

Do you think the sweats could be withdrawal symptoms from stopping the pain meds, and might go away if you weaned off slowly? Or maybe there is some kind of transitional med? Is that what you’re taking now?

Maybe they didn’t think you were on them long enough for that to happen, but it sure sounds like your body was becoming dependent on the meds, and the sweats are/were withdrawal.
