He has me right where He wants me and right where I need to be: No clue as to my immediate future, no plans of my own, and invested completely in the hope and truth that He is beside me.

Wes,
I continue to pray for you several times a day. I love it when the class I am covering is working quietly because it gives me time to pray specifically for you and Karen and the kids. God has provided well behaved classes for me to do this. It must be frustrating to have to “be still”, but sometimes stillness is a good thing. I will pray for relief from discomfort and body aches and that you are able to get the rest you need to heal.

We miss you and pray for you a lot. When I was weak and down during chemo treatment 4 years ago, prayers from brothers and sisters were the best support to help me get through the difficult time, I could even feel people were praying for me… hang in there, things will get better!

When the mountains move and crash into the seas as described in Psalm 46, He is ever faithful! You are clinging to your Rock! May He be the Refuge and Strength that you and Karen need every day, every minute. All those who love you and care deeply for your family are praying for you . . . rest in the care and prayer of others. Keep your spirit of knowing that God is taking you through this for a bigger purpose and you are glorifying Him! You amaze us, but your testimony is strong – even on the crushing days!
In His love, Eleanor & Rich

Cling to Jesus… cling to Jesus
And when you can’t cling anymore, know He still has you

Hey Wes. So sorry about your continued ups and downs on this journey. Been there and done that a few times myself. I know it is hard to rest and wait for something better. When you compare it to us waiting for the soon-coming King it helps put other things into perspective. We know that His word is true and He will return triumphantly and have victory over our sin, all the pain and tremendous suffering.
A very long time ago (there, I said it before you – I’m “old”) I learned at a youth retreat that if Jesus could bear up everything leading to and the end on the cross, then we ought to be able to endure whatever and say: “why not” when we go through our trials, pain, suffering and the like. Take comfort, my friend (I could have been your mother) in knowing, He only wants the best for you and if that means the ups and downs, then why not?
Lots of love and prayers!
Wes and Karen,
Continued prayers and love to you all. We miss you. I’ll pace in your office to make sure the track in your carpet stays there.
Grace and Peace,
Jennifer
Was going to leave an inspirational (if only I could!) message here. Then I read Pat’s and was inspired to rejoice in Him. Standing in the gap for you is my intentional prayer. Thanking our Living God for you and all the Word you are sharing…… (((May you sense His hands upon you)))
AMEN and AMEN
