Many have been wondering and we are sorry we haven’t posted about how Steve is doing. Steve is recovering well. He had a rough 4 weeks as he was waiting for his remaining kidney to recover from the loss of the other kidney. Steve has never been through any surgeries or had any form of major health issues. This was a lot of trauma to his body and he was really feeling the effects.
Steve was out of work for 4 weeks and last Monday he was able to start back to work. He says it was like a light switch being turned on, all the sudden he felt like he had more energy and was able to work 6 hours one day and then 8 the next and continue to work the rest of the week. He needs to take rests everyday because he is not up to full function. His remaining kidney will enlarge and take on the work of 2 kidneys. As that process continues, Steve will become more and more energetic.
Thank you for all your prayers for Steve and his family. We have greatly appreciated you remembering them before the throne along side us. As we mentioned above, we have been asked repeatedly how Steve is doing. This just shows tremendous love and care.
Update on Wes: Wes spent most of the day in bed. He was throwing up, achy, headache, and had tingling arms and legs. It was a little discouraging considering how good he has felt lately, however, with his Nephrologist, they were able to diagnose the problem and it shouldn’t happen again. During dialysis they pulled 6lbs of liquid off his body. This was clearly too much and they will not be taking that much off again. We are encouraged because each time he goes through something like this, we learn a little more about how his body responds to dialysis. Thanks for the prayers.

Steve, God bless you. I’m sorry I haven’t written to you before. You are not the forgotton man. You are our hero. We all wish we had a brother like you. I guess envy will be the last sin to survive. Be healthy. Your real reward is in heaven. I will admire you forever.

It was great to hear how Steve was doing. Don’t want him to think he was forgotten in this matter. He and his family are still a big part. God is using all of you for a purpose in the progress of his wonderful plan. Praise Him that we can see all this happening before our eyes.
Continuing to Pray for all.
