Sorry it has been a few days since we have updated.
Much has been going on, our week was fun-filled. To finish the week, the kids had their field day at school on Friday. We picked them up early and then it was off to Maryland.
We were able to get away as a family for the weekend and we had a blast. Wes was healthy enough to fulfill his commitment to teach at the Family Fusion Weekend at Sandy Cove. Wes was teaching families, kids and adults together, how to become more focused and purposeful in their lives and homes. Wes was a part of a team of 4, who taught throughout the weekend with the purpose of drawing families closer together.
Our family had a great time interacting at each session, Drawing, Coloring, Creating Paradigms, Playing Dodge Beanies, Sharing, Singing, Dancing… and that was just the sessions. We also enjoyed, mini golf, swimming, pony rides, making and shooting paper rockets, ping pong, carpet ball, disc golf, rock climbing, canoeing, shuffle board, the 10th Hole (snack shack) and much more. Let’s not forget the food. We spent our delicious meals on Saturday and Sunday eating outdoors, enjoying the view of the Chesapeake Bay and the cool breeze of the shade as well as the company of other families. It was a fun filled weekend and a good time for our family to be refreshed after dealing with the last 6 weeks of ups and downs.
We are thankful that Wes felt really good. He was able to participate, or at least observe, most things with which our family was involved. Each day he had to take a nap in the afternoon to make it through the evening. He only had to take pain medicine last night and that is mostly because he has done so much since Friday.
You can see pictures from the weekend here.
