We had a great day together as a family. It was so good to see our family at Christian Testimony of Morris. We were welcomed with open arms, many smiles, and big hugs. They set up a chair, table and mic for Wes to speak from. Wes shared with CT Morris about what so many have asked us about and have been encouraged of, and that is our faith.
Wes took us through Hebrews 11 looking at men and women who have shown great faith and the accomplishments resulting because of their faith. Then he took us right into the next chapter sharing how because of the faith of these people and because of the truth and promises of God’s word, we can and should persevere not lay our focus on ourselves but on Christ. When our focus is on ourselves we can get caught up in a deep depression or self pity or just find ourselves in a bad place. He challenged us all with who do we have that will speak truth into our lives. During our times of trials, conflicts, afflictions, etc, who are we going to listen to and who will challenge us to make sure we are not listening to our own self assurances and that we are making the right choices. Wes wasn’t his animated self but his message was clear and precise.
Afterward, it was nice to sit and chat with people. The kids had a great time in their classes. Wes was starting to wear down so we started our journey home. Wes and the kids had fun in the car playing bingo car games. It made the trip home much shorter and more exciting.
At home, Wes was feeling really good and I think he over did it. We spent the afternoon cleaning and rearranging the garage. It has been a long time since he has felt so good and was able to do so much that he didn’t want to stop. The kids spent the afternoon making mud pies and mud balls they were a big mess! End result…Baths and showers for everyone!
Tomorrow, Wes hits dialysis and plans to spend the majority of the day doing TAI work.
Karen
Well Wes & Karen now that you are feeling good I will give the bad news. The IRS is auditing your tax returns for the past 38 years, that right even before you were born.
It is so nice to hear good news. You have been an inspiration to so many people by your trials and victories. No matter how much you been going through all I hear is positive testimonies to all you meet. I have faith that God provided you the knowledge to work out your meds.
Always in our prayers.
What good news to find waiting here. I’ve been offline for the weekend. Continued praying and anticipating His hand here. Indeed you all are our inspirations. Hebrews 11….. Oh yes, that has Wes written all through it. Thank you, Karen for sharing….
Great news! Can’t believe you didn’t call us. We were only a half hour from where you were. Call us next time. Glad Wes is doing better. Many people have been praying and I am sure that the prayers were answered in order for Wes to have a great day.
Super good news. God is always GREAT.
