Rejection?!?

Wes’ body is experiencing some form of rejection.  They are trying to figure out why the kidney is not getting enough blood supply.  They are waiting for the MRI results.

Options right now are increase anti-rejection medicine or possibly another operation.

(I will continue to add to this post as I find out more)

This song is just keeps playing in my head today….

I am not skilled to understand
What God has willed, what God has planned
I only know at His right hand
Stands One who is my Savior

Yes, living, dying; let me bring
My strength, my solace from this spring
That He who lives to be my King
Once died to be my Savior

My Savior loves, my Savior lives
My Savior’s always there for me
My God He was, my God He is
My God He’s always gonna be

  30. I’m praying for you Wes and Karen—I think the whole campus was praying yesterday, and I’m sure will continue to do so today.

  31. We are praying earnestly for you, Karen, the kids AND Steve and his family, your parents and the Ivins. There are so many emotions involved. Praying the spirit of God would comfort and give peace to each one. Praying for you Wes, remember, I could be your mother, that you will be physically and spiritually comforted at this time. It’s been a rough ride. I leave with you a scripture that I’ve claimed …being confident of this, that he wo began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ. Phil. 1:6. Our God isn’t done with your life and HE will continue to work in you in each situation you are facing. Praise be to Him that you are not alone in this journey. We’re available if any of you need any thing, just let us know.

We’ve got a host of people praying for you all too!

    Love and prayers,

    Bob and Pat Sarringer

  34. Wes and Karen –

I continually praise God for your faith and example of obedience to His Call. I lift you up to experience His Peace and Encouragement during this difficult time. I am reminded that this is not a surprise to God and is part of His plan for you life. Jeremiah 1:5-10

Now the word of the LORD came to me saying,

5“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
    And before you were born I consecrated you;
I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
6Then I said, “Alas, Lord GOD!
Behold, I do not know how to speak,
    Because I am a youth.”
7But the LORD said to me,
“Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’
Because everywhere I send you, you shall go,
And all that I command you, you shall speak.
8“Do not be afraid of them,
For I am with you to deliver you,” declares the LORD.
9Then the LORD stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me,
“Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.
10“See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms,
To pluck up and to break down,
    To destroy and to overthrow,
    To build and to plant.”

  38. To All of My Family- I just wanted you to know that last night this verse came to me. Romans 8:28-“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”. We all know that Wes & Steve love God and that God has called them to His purpose. This is a comfort to me and I trust it will be to all of you, too. I don’t know why this has happened, but I do know that God is in control. Praise the Lord. Love to you all-Grandma & Mom

  39. Dear Brother Wes & your family,

I’m really sorry to hear about this situation. I had twice kidney transplant. What I know the treatment during the 1st month always is critical. Have faith in God and your pain will go through. We are all God’s people. Though God will protect us.

    Psalm 23:

1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,

    3. He restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
    for his name’s sake.

4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, [a]
    I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
    You anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.

6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

    God always remember his word.

    in Christ

  40. Wes & Karen,

We are praying for you both during this time. Praying that He gives you peace that passes understanding. Praying for a miraculous provision whether through healing or grace sufficient for the need.

  41. Hi Wes,

I work at PBU (just started last Nov and it still seems all new to me). I have been reading emails about your situation and I wanted to let you know that God encouraged me through one of your emails. You wrote about being reminded that things here in life are about God’s plan. We get so wrapped up in our own world that we forget the main point of living anyway–for Jesus, to glorify Him and edify others no matter where we find ourselves. Know that much prayer is for you and that being His child you are never alone. He said He would never leave you nor forsake you.

I want to leave you something that has touched my heart over the past few months:

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
    -Mark 10:27
