This evening, Steve was doing much better than when Sarah saw him in recovery. He is still on pain and nausea medicine. However, he was acting more himself and even got in quite a few laughs.
Wes, has been showing great kidney function. The nurse is emptying his bag every one to two hours. Great sign! Wes is also on pain and nausea medicine. His pain medicine is making him feel a little loopy and slow. He is trying hard to follow all that is said and given to him from his nurses. He is doing a great job but he is very tired.
I am spending the night in a recliner next to Wes. It has been a long day. Wes kept me busy (a good busy) all day with keeping everyone updated and reading special notes that he gave me to open every half hour. He also surprised me with a beautiful gift to represent the 10 years I remained by his side. He is very precious to me and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
We are still praying here. Hoping you both get a good night sleep…well, as best as can be expected in the hospital.
Blessings and hugs
Thanks for the updates, it is good to be able to see progress. You guys are such an inspiration to others. We are still praying, hang in there:)
If he’s loopy, he must be fine!
Wes and Karen,
I just showed the pictures to Davis and he is passed out on the floor! (smile). I think he will call in sick today.
I am glad that you and Steve are doing well. Karen, try to get some rest! We agree that you are a special lady!!!!!! Make Wes behave today and don’t let him drive the staff crazy!
Love, Denise
Dear Karen & Wes,
God bless you as you continue to honor Him in your circumstances. You are on my mind throughout the day and I am praying for you.
Hugs,
Pamela
Hi Karen, hope you got a little bit of sleep last night! We will continue to pray.
