We had a busy day yesterday. Besides the headaches, wes was feeling pretty good, so we had a full day of activity!
Our family began the morning with the Walk Against Hunger in Philadelphia. Brrr, it was pretty cold but there was a good number of people walking the streets of Philly. The kids had fun taking turns kicking a disc and a rock as we walked along. We took the 1 mile stroll and then headed to The Franklin Institute with Dan and Owen Bosworth. (Thank you for sharing your membership) The kids were excited!
At the Institute we went to almost everything. I think their favorite part was the Electricity room. Dakota especially enjoyed shocking everyone! Kadin enjoyed all the rooms except the Body World exhibit. Kasey loved exploring with water in the Kids’ Science room, which she visited 3 times and continued to ask to go back. Together we visited the Body World exhibit and that was very intriguing. The kids all got to see what a kidney looks like and where it is located in the body. We also watched a 3-D movie of the Ocean… not highly recommended but pretty cool watching birds shoot 30mph into the ocean to eat sardines.
After the Institute we were really hungry so we drove to Sonic for dinner. Mmmm, we made it in time for the 1/2 priced slushies. 🙂 Kasey slept the whole way home in the car (sorry Kasey, you missed Sonic). When we finally arrived home, both wes and Kadin fell asleep and had to be awaken for our night at Palace Rollerskating. We met up with Grandmom, Dom and the girls, and Aunt Nancy and Uncle Scott. The kids had a blast. This is only the second time skating and the boys decided to try roller blades. They did great! They enjoyed it so much that they decided they want blades for their birthdays this summer.
We returned home around 8:00pm. The kids parents are exhausted and ready for showers and bed! We are so thankful for this day of Family fun!!
Today the headaches continued for wes but with a little bit of rest and Tylenol he was able to participate in the daily activities.
Thank you so much for the updates. Unfortunately, we don’t get to read them daily. Anything that needs special prayer, please let us know. We love you all.
Glad you had a day of FUN!!! Hmmmm…Sonic slushies. I didn’t know they existed outside of the South. Cherry Limeade!
