2nd Day (Post Op)

Roles have been reversed!

Steve had a rough morning but he is doing much better tonight.  Physical Therapy came back for Steve and made him walk to Wes’ room.  They left orders that he needs to walk around or sit in a chair and can not return to his bed until 9pm.  It seems to be helping him and his son (Nathan who is a year and 1/2) visited him today as well.

Wes has a high heart rate (115+) the doctors are trying to figure out why.  The best they can figure is that it is heart burn caused by one of the medicines.  Wes has been throwing up and says that he has never felt pain like this before.  They gave him some milk of magnesia and pain medicine to see if that helps. The pain and heart rate have been up for the last 2 hours.

I am not with him tonight.  I will keep you posted with his progress as I am updated.  Thanks

  1. just curious as to which meds Wes is on. Are they antibiotics? When I was in the hospital I was on three different antibiotics. 2 out of the 3 made me sick. We couldn’t figure out why 3 times a day I would start throwing up. Eventually they put it together that I always threw up not too long after getting my antibiotics. They looked into and that was one of the side effects – nausia and vomiting. I cannot remember how to spell them – they Cypero and Tymentin.
Praying for a quick recovery for both.
