Transplant 3-25-10

Two nights ago Kasey ended up in the emergency room with a fever of 104.4 and hallucinating.  Wes, on the other hand, was running back and forth to the bathroom getting sick (most likely from the new meds, we think).  Since then, Kasey is doing well, Wes, not so well.

Wes did not get any sleep last night.  I found him this morning resting in front of the fireplace with a fire going.  His symptoms seem to be getting worse.  He has spent most of the day working in bed.  If things continue to progress, it looks like dialysis may be inevitable.  Blood work is planned for Monday to see the progress.

The kids are holding up well.  Kasey and I spent the afternoon with Dakota’s class for his “Family Tree Extravaganza”.  It was interesting to learn about his classmates, play games with them, meet their parents, and enjoy the delicious food.

Today is my mom’s birthday.  It was ten years ago today on my mom’s birthday that Wes was originally released from the hospital when his kidneys went acute.  “Happy Birthday Mom!”  Thanks for all the years of love and support!

  1. Wes, we’re praying for you and your family. We love you guys! Over the years you have demonstrated integrity, respect, love, and faith to me. I appreciate all that you have given to me, and in way, however big or small, I will give back to you through my prayers. Thanks for the updates…
