I have been having new symptoms that have been getting worse. I went in yesterday to get blood work done as a precaution and today my kidney specialist called me and said it does not look good.
My kidney function has deteriorated even further, at a more rapid pace than in the past. My thyroid and parathyroid (?) levels have been hovering just below dangerous for a long time and now they have gone to risky levels. I am on new meds.
My doctor is hoping we can keep me healthy enough to stay off dialysis, but right now it is not looking good. She said, “I am going to be upset if we make it this far [ten years] without dialysis and need to do it 3 weeks before the finish line.”
God clearly has a plan. Continue to pray for our journey and for us following His direction. As well, pray for Steve and Sarah. They are in Philly the next two days meeting with all sorts of people at the hospital and getting his body “measured”. Nathan is staying with us and the kids are loving it!
